Did you know that there are real, economic costs to the lack of sex education? A country’s development and prosperity have a lot to do with sex education. Surprised?
In a patriarchal society less attention is paid to the education of females. The lack of toilets and sanitation facilities create barriers for non-males to complete formal schooling.
Even when females join the workforce, they are discouraged from pursuing aggressive or high-growth careers. They are expected to get married and eventually stay at home.
All this leads to loss of agency and independence for non-males and it impacts the economy negatively.
Sex education impacts these attitudes and prejudices and can positively impact the economy.
