When we discuss body confidence, we usually think about our physical appearance. However, the way we perceive our bodies affects our mental health too.

We are bombarded by photo-shopped images of models and actors, wearing make-up, clicked from the most complimentary angles. Regular people like us, tend to compare ourselves with these images. This not only impacts our self-confidence, but can also lead to serious issues such as mood and eating disorders.

A negative body image can impact our relationships with our peers, friends, and family; this is because we begin to believe that we don't deserve love, affection, and compliments. Body confidence has a deep relation with our mental health.
