Today more than ever is when we need to practise self-acceptance. In the world of social media, we often compare ourselves with others. Unknowingly, we begin seeking external approval. We can become dependent on external validation and when we don't get it, feel like failures. and that we are not worthy of love or anything positive.

When we accept ourselves, this need for approval and validation from others reduces. We are able to be content with who we are and what we achieve.

It's also important to accept ourselves so that we don't judge or blame ourselves when things go wrong because we can’t always control what happens in life.
