Accepting our entire self is not something that happens overnight. It is a process that takes a lot of hard work and inner strength. Here is how you can start on your journey of self-acceptance:
- Have compassion for yourself when things go wrong or you make a mistake
- Embrace your imperfections. It's your choice to work on them or not.
- Face your fears. Be gentle but facing your fears can be a great way of building more resilience/
- Engage in positive self-talk. Self-talk is the most important conversation we engage in. Pay attention to it.
- Forgive yourself.
- Ask yourself questions to know yourself better and to coach yourself to actively practise self-acceptance.
